Reinforced construction- these boards are generally built stronger to take the impact on heavy waves & wipeouts. A fraction heavier is an advantage to the swing weight and speed ( even the leash plugs are reinforced!)
The wide point is placed a fraction forward , this provides extra foam under the chest and creates a longer, straighter back half to give reliable response and CONTROL in heavier waves/barrels.
